Jessica McMorrow

Jessica is a professional ballroom dance competitor and instructor.  She is a US National Professional American Style 9-Dance Finalist, placing 5th at the US National Dancesport Championships in 2008, and among other accomplishments, she is the reigning professional Rhythm champion in her hometown of Seattle, WA, having won the Seattle Star Ball Open Professional Rhythm Championship in both 2007 and 2008.

Jessica has been dancing since the age of seven and is experienced in a variety of dance forms.  She began competing professionally in 2003. She teaches students of all ages and levels, and is available for Pro/Am competition. Jessica is a Member of the U.S. Terpsichore Association in Standard, Latin and Theater Arts, and an Associate of the Terpsichore in Smooth and Rhythm.

Jessica's early dance experience was in classical ballet. In high school, she trained intensively at a performing arts conservatory, dancing corps and soloist roles in classical repertoire including Giselle, Swan Lake Act II, Carmen, La Bayadere, Nutcracker, Les Sylphides, and Coppelia. She has also studied a variety of other dance forms, including modern, character dance, Spanish flamenco dance, and Irish step dancing. Since coming to ballroom, Jessica has trained with numerous nationally and internationally respected coaches.

In addition to her dance training, Jessica holds a BA in history from the University of Washington. She also teaches yoga, which is her second love after dancing.  She was born and raised in the Seattle area.

Hugo Villanueva

Hugo has fifteen years of experience teaching and competing in ballroom dancing. He is a top Pro/Am teacher, and his students have placed at the top of many competitions across the United States. A native of Fresno, CA, Hugo is also a former competitive figure skater.

Hugo specializes in American style ballroom dancing, which includes both the Rhythm (Cha Cha, Rumba, Swing, Bolero, Mambo) and Smooth (Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Vienesse Waltz) dances. He teaches students of all ages and levels, and he and his professional parther Jessica are available for shows, coaching and Pro/Am competition.
